New format of New Zealand Health Certificates not on TRACES

The format of the health certificates for all consignments of products of animal origin (POAOs) from New Zealand is changing in accordance with Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2015/1901. The new format health certificates will be required for all certificates issued from 1st May onwards and for all consignments arriving after the the 31st May 2016.

Initally, health certificates in the new format will not be available as e-certs on TRACES.  This means that it will no longer be possible to create CVEDs for such consignments by 'cloning' from the e-cert. CVEDs for such consignments will therefore need to be created from scratch in TRACES or where the consignment is similar to a previous one the 'copy as new' function can be used.  If you are responsible for creating such CVEDs please double-check the printed CVED for errors before submitting to avoid delays in releasing such consignments.
