ALVS downtime - September and October

ALVS system maintenance over several weekends during September and October - manual clearance required

Maintenance to servers that host the Automatic Licence Verification System (ALVS) will take place over several weekends in September and October 2017. ALVS may therefore not be available from 7 pm on Friday evening until 7 am on Monday morning.

Currently the work is planned for:

1-4 September

15-18 September

13-16th October

20-23 October

27-30th October

What is the impact?

Manual Customs clearances will be required for all consignments that require a CVED or CED via TRACES.

Please use the request for a manual release form and submit a full completed CVED/CED with your request.

If you have an alternative arrangement to obtain Customs clearance for consignments subject to veterinary checks at your port of entry, then please inform APHA on (0300) 100 0313.

Please note that Customs clearances will take much longer during the periods when ALVS will not be available and that dates are subject to change.
