Changes to food/feed products controlled from 1st July


From the 1st July 2016 there will be new controls over Hazelnuts from Georgia.

Controls over dried grapes from Afghanistan and almonds from Australia are being removed.

The review period for the Regulation has also been amended. Reviews will now take place bi-annually rather than quarterly.

The European Commission have published Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 2016/1024, which contains a revised list of food and feed that is examined at the port.

The changes apply from the 1st July 2016.

A common entry document (CED) will need to be submitted for all consignments and sampling will be carried out in accordance with the published frequencies. All CEDs must be submitted on TRACES

The Commission Implementing Regulation updates and replaces the list of food and feed controlled by Commission Regulation 669/2009. Products that are affected by the changes have been identified below.
